Obituary

Brian L. Dravenstott, 58, passed away peacefully Monday, March 19, at home surrounded by family after a short battle with cancer. Brian was born May 3, 1959 to Wilbur and Margaret (Kasalek) Dravenstott. He was a 1977 graduate of Ashland High school, and attended OSU Mansfield. Brian was Co-Owner and operator of Dravenstott's Tree Service. He took great pride in the business that he and his brother, Greg, built together over 25 years ago. One of his greatest wishes would be that the tree service will continue to prosper for generations to come. Brian had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Brian is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Karen (Taylor) Dravenstott, who he married on May 12, 1990. He is also survived by his daughter Megan, son Chase, and granddaughter Bristol, who were the loves of his life; sisters Joyce (Ken) Knapic of Cave Creek, Arizona, Carol (Phil) Stentz of Ashland, and Sherry (Dan) Satterfield of Ashland, and brothers Jim (Patty) Dravenstott of Ashland, Gary Dravenstott and Marilee Birchfield of Columbus, Ohio, Jeff (Chris) Dravenstott of Columbus, Georgia, and Greg (Tammy) Dravenstott of Ashland, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Brian was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation for Brian will be 5 pm to 9 pm Friday, March 23 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville, Oh. Celebration of life services will be held at First Church of the Brethren, 122 E. 3rd Street, Ashland, Ohio at 10:30 AM , Saturday March 24. A private burial is planned for a later date. Donations may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio (1050 Dauch Drive, Ashland Ohio 44805), First Church of the Brethren (122 E. 3rd Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805), and Midway Baptist Church (P.O.
