Betty Jane Phillips, 85 of Ashland passed away Tuesday February 16, 2021 at the Good Shepherd

Nursing Home. She was born February 24, 1935 in Page, West Virginia the daughter of Luther J. and

Elsie Beals Copley. She worked in housekeeping for the Good Shepherd and Samaritan Regional

Health Systems.

She is survived by three daughters, Barbara (Keith) Echelberger of Ashland, Patricia (Dennis) Simpson

of Sullivan and Rose (Dean) Lease of Ashland, a son, Frank (Kathy) Phillips of Ashland, 8

grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, a sister, Eva Mae Settle of Oak Hill,

West Virginia and a brother, Frank Copley of Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Virgil Phillips in 2015, a son, Owen H. Phillips,

a grandson, Ryan Phalen and a great grandson, Colt James Darling.

Private graveside services will be 11:00 AM Monday February 22, 2021 at Trinity Cemetery with

Pastor Layton Broome officiating.

There will be no calling hours.

Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville assisted the family with arrangements.
