John W. Kemper on August 29, 1948 and they were

married 47 years before John's death in June 1995.

Betty was a graduate of Tiffin University and worked

of her own clothes and various dolls and doll clothes for her grandchildren.   She made

many quilts, and gave each grandchild a homemade quilt for their high school

graduations, and made many lap quilts for wounded servicemen.  She was also active

in several organizations until her later years—including the Farm Bureau,

Homemakers Club, Piecemakers quilt club, Genealogy Society,  and she was a grange

member for more than 50 years.  She researched and wrote four genealogies of

than anything else.
