Wednesday morning March 20, 2019 Georgia Masters went home

to be with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ.  Georgia Ann Murray

was born on September 16, 1936 to Walter and Vera Weir Murray

at her parent’s home in Pittsburgh, PA.

She graduated from South Hills High School, Pittsburgh, PA.  

In 1958 she graduated from Kentucky Christian College with a

BA in Religious Education.

On August 16, 1958 she married Jerry Lee Masters who preceded

her in death.  Surviving are on son, Thomas A. Masters, Sr,

daughter-in-law, Vera Masters, grandchildren, Elizabeth Masters-Hiatt (Geoff) of Laramie, WY,

Thomas A. Masters, Jr. and Timothy J. Masters of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Ronald (Alzana) Nuzzolillo of

Carrollton, OH and Michael (Marie) Nuzzolillo of Myerstown, PA.  

Great granddaughters and grandsons, Juniper Marcella Hiat, and Izzabella, Maria, Gemma, James and

Daniel Nuzzolillo.  She is survived by one brother, Walter Murray of Oakdale, PA and one sister,

Evelyn McKelvey of Pine Island, MN, two nieces and four nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Masters, her parents, a brother, George Robert

Murray, two sisters, Betty Rinehart and Shirley Murray, father-in-law, Jess Masters, mother-in-law,

Lorna Masters and sister-in-law, Betty Masters.

Georgia had a life long association with Independent Christian Church Churches of Christ.  She was a

member of Ashland Christian Church.  She served beside her husband in local church ministry for 21

years.  She was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ and worked in various roles as Sunday School, Bible

School, youth teacher, camp counselor and cook.

Georgia served anywhere she was needed.  She knew no strangers and she had a sweet smile and

demeanor always ready for all.  She was co-owner with her husband of a franchise with Twentieth

Century Publications church directories where she was a fine portrait photographer, marketer and sales

associate.  She worked as a seamstress for TLC Canvas and Kent Sporting Goods. She worked as a

housekeeper for Brethren Care Village and retired after 17 years of service.

Most of all Georgia loved God, and her family.  She loved to cook, sew, garden and spend time with

her church family.

A service of memorial will be held at a later date, a Ashland Christian Church.  Gifts may be

forwarded to Fickes Funeral Home or to Ashland Christian Church.  Dear friends at the Fickes Funeral

Home are assisting the family.
