Pauline Lucille Ebert, 103, passed peacefully on Saturday, January 11th, at Brethren Care Village Assisted
Living in Ashland.
Pauline was born in Chester Township, Wayne County, on September 4, 1916, to John B and Letha (Bates)
Arnold. She married Myles H. Ebert at the Lutheran Parsonage in New Pittsburgh in 1935; he passed in 1997.
They had been members of the Zion Lutheran Church in Reedsburg.
Pauline and Myles had been the owners of a Motel on the west side of Wooster in the ‘40s –‘50s; later, they
moved to a farm in rural Wayne County, where Pauline operated her own Country Home Beauty Salon.
They lived their retirement years in New Port Richey, Florida, and finally in Jeromesville, Ohio.
They had enjoyed traveling, camping and listening to polka music together.
Pauline is survived by one son, James Ebert, and a daughter-in-law, Nancy, both of Wooster;
four grandchildren, Kirk (Teresa) Ebert, Cindy (Bob) Farquhar; Trish (Jeff) Stack all of Jeromesville;
and Jamie (Vickie) Ebert of Wooster; ten great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren;
she is also survived by two sisters, Nona Becker of Wooster, Loy Robinson of Henderson, Nevada;
a sister–in-law, Irene Arnold of Wooster; and by a special niece, Judy Rodi, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Pauline was preceded in death by an infant son, Alton Eugene, her parents,
four brothers, Leroy Arnold, Don Arnold, John Arnold Jr., Raymond Zimmerman and
by five sisters, Marie Blake, Gladys Fasig, Ruth Blough, Naomi Echelberger, and Odella Bischak.
Services will be at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville on Friday, January 17 @ 12:00 noon with
Pastor Jerry Rhea officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service. Burial will be at
the Reedsburg Cemetery, Wooster
