Katherine (Kae) Eileen (Reid) White

Katherine Eileen White, 84 of Jeromesville died Friday

August 9th, 2019 at Wooster Community Hospital.

She was born May 26, 1935 in New London the daughter

of Claude and Grace Arnert Reid.

She was a 1953 graduate of New London High School and

was always proud of being selected to attend Buckeye

Girls State in 1952. She graduated  from the Cleveland Academy of Cosmetology in 1954

and worked at Adria’s Beauty Shop until she was married.

Kae was a member of the St. Peter Catholic Church. She loved sewing, making quilts, reading and

doing puzzles. She was a member of St. Peter Church Mission Society and as part of that group

she helped make many quilts.

She married Edward M. White on April 23, 1956 and they worked together on their farm in Nova

for 31 years. To this union were born three daughters, Cynthia White, Ellen (Bill)

Gribben and Kathy (Chris) Crossen all of the Jeromesville area. She was also blessed with six

grandchildren, Elizabeth (Vern) Vanderpool, John (Casey) White, Levi (Jessica) Gribben, Andrew

(Adriann) Gribben, Hannah (Chris) Everetts and Reid Crossen and nine great grandchildren, Abigail

and James Vanderpool, Julien and Aria White, Jacob and Henry Gribben, Riley and Grace Gribben and

Avery Everetts. She is also survived by three sisters, Susan (Tom) Robertson of Salem, Oregon, Nancy

Grannaman of North Ridgeville and Alice Perry of Fort Worth, Texas.

In 1983, she went to work at Samaritan Hospital as the unit secretary and after 26 years of service she

retired in 2009. They moved to Jeromesville in 1987 where they have made their home for 32 years.

She loved her family and spending time with them. She was always there to help and support them in

any way she could.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Edward M. White on August 5th, 2019.

Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday August 14th, 2019 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Loudonville

with Father Vincent Hawk officiating. Burial will be in Jeromesville Cemetery. Friends may call

Tueday August 13, 2019 from 6-8 pm at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville. There will be a prayer

service starting at 7:45 pm.
