Edward Michael White, 83 of Jeromesville passed away
Monday August 5th, 2019 with his family by his side.
He was born September 24, 1935 to Gustavus and Alma
Coleman White in New London, OH.
He started his farming career on a small farm west of
New London. He later bought farms in Ruggles and Troy
townships and farmed there until 1987.
He married Katherine E. Reid White on April 23, 1956. To this union were born three daughters,
Cynthia White, Ellen (Bill) Gribben and Kathy (Chris) Crossen all of the Jeromesville area. He was
also blessed with six grandchildren, Elizabeth (Vern) Vanderpool, John (Casey) White, Levi (Jessica)
Gribben, Andrew (Adriann) Gribben, Hannah (Chris) Everetts and Reid Crossen. He also had nine
great grandchildren, Jacob and Henry Gribben, Abigail and James Vanderpool, Julien and Aria White,
Riley and Grace Gribben and Avery Everetts.
He was one of the founding members of the Firelands Ambulance Board, while he served as a trustee
in Ruggles Township. He served as trustee in Ruggles Township for 8 years and was fulfilling his
20th year as a trustee in Mohican Township.
He most treasured times were spent with his family and friends, his love of the outdoors, animals and
working on machinery.
Services will be 11:00 AM Friday August 9th, 2019 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Loudonville with
Father Vincent Hawk officiating. Burial will be in Jeromesville Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday
August 8, 2019 from 6-8 pm at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville. There will be a prayer service
starting at 7:45 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jeromesville Fire Department P.O Box 102 Jeromesville,
OH 44840 or to the St. Peter Catholic Church 220 East Butler Loudonville, OH 44842.
